Thrift Store Frame revamped

Thought this frame was pretty cool so I decided to do something different with it. It had mint green gross grain ribbon around the edge - glued on. I removed it and tried scraping it off. When that didnt work I decided to just paint it black. I then tried something brave...I painted the mat as well - only white. It came out rather well I think. I will have to try that in the future with the mats!
